One more year, Madrid will host the fourth edition of the Madrid International Bariatric Endoscopy (MIBE), in which internationally renowned specialists will present the latest advances in techniques to fight obesity without surgery. The Congress will be held on 20th and 21st July, 2017 at the HM Sanchinarro University Hospital in Madrid.

The MIBE is organized by Dr. Gontrand López-Nava, Director of the Bariatric Endoscopy Unit at HM Sanchinarro University Hospital in Madrid, Dr. Manoel Galvao, Professor at Florida International University and Dr. Natan Zundel, Clinical Professor of Surgery and Deputy Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.

Top leading experts worldwide will gather and share their knowledgethrough presentations, practical workshops, discussion forums, case studies and will focus on topics such as the latest intragastric devices, treatment in diabetics and the importance of nutritional follow-up in patients after surgery, among others.

This Congress is aimed at endoscopist surgeons, bariatric surgeons, endocrinologists and specialists in the sector. The main goal is to combat one of the major pandemics of this century, obesity, which currently affects more than 600 million adults and 41 million children worldwide, according to WHO data.
